"An ode to the garrigue for this emblematic cuvée, with the elegance of the Grés de Montpellier terroir".

The estate's flagship cuvée, with charming aromas of black and red fruits, combined with Mediterranean flavors. Aging adds a lovely smoky, chocolaty touch, supported by a fresh, dense, floral juice. A real treat!

Bettane & Desseauve

Wine rated (guide 2025) 91/100 (Vintage 2020)

Domaine rated (guide 2025) 2*Stars (A serious and recommendable production, but a little more regular and homogeneous than the previous one)

About the domain :

We admire the energy and healthy ambition of two sisters, Diane and Constance, who dynamically manage L'Engarran (50 hectares), scattered around an 18th-century folly. Diane, in charge of vinification, strives for precision. The style emphasizes the great maturity of the grapes, which makes the wines opulent, with progress in the quality of the tannins, which are finer and rounder.

About the domain :

Ch. de l'Engarran is an 18th-century Montpellier "folie", listed on the Inventaire national des Monuments historiques. Three generations of women have made this 55-hectare estate one of the finest addresses in the Grés of Montpellier and Saint-Georges-d'Orques.
