Wine rating (2025 guide) 93/100 (2022 vintage)
Rated estate (2026 guide) 3 stars (High-quality production, serving as a benchmark in its sector)
About the estate:
Jean-Baptiste Granier produces one of the most exciting Cinsaults, cultivating around ten hectares with virtuoso skill since he started out in 2007, spurred on by a certain Olivier Jullien. The finish is delicious and floral, with red fruit and licorice notes: the similarity in texture to the great Pinot Noirs of Burgundy is obvious. It has everything a great wine should have, except the price. The grand cuvée, from the Terrasses-du-Larzac, has avoided all the classic pitfalls of over-ripeness and over-extraction, coming close to matching the best examples of its kind. In just a few years, the white has established itself as one of the region's finest wines for fine dining.

Wine rating (2025 guide) 92/100 (2022 vintage)
Rated estate (2026 guide) 2 stars (These very large estates, often blessed with fabulous terroirs, are must-haves which, thanks to their consistency and the excellence of their production, deserve a place in the cellars of discerning wine lovers).
About the estate:
The Vignes Oubliées project began in 2007, when Olivier Jullien and Jean-Baptiste Granier, then an intern at Mas Jullien, decided to vinify plots of old high-altitude vines in the Saint-Privat area for the first time. The vineyard is planted on schist and sandstone soils that had been abandoned, producing very fine grapes, but in small quantities that did not meet the expectations of local cooperatives. The experiment was a success, the wine was christened, and the adventure could continue: Jean-Baptiste would watch over these old vines. Today, they are aged in a natural cave, a former oil mill that has been restored. The expressions have slowly refined, delivering wines with a pure and deep mouthfeel.
