This wine offers an aromatic bouquet of strawberries and cherries with hints of spice. On the palate, it is full of fruit and freshness. The palate is beautifully rounded, with a licorice-tinged finish. This “Clémence” cuvée has good aging potential but can also be enjoyed now. A wonderful discovery!

About the estate:
Jean-Philippe Granier provides technical guidance to all the winemakers in the Languedoc appellations. The family-owned estate, located in the Sommières area, offers wines that are perfectly clean and impeccably crafted, ranging from IGP to Languedoc: it is by the quality of its entry-level wines that one recognizes a good estate. Among the reds, Clémence is intense in flavor, Jéricho has a bold character and displays perfectly controlled tannins, and Camp-de-l’Oste is a model for the region. Here, there is a clear pursuit of the taste and flavors that every wine from the region should express. A very reliable choice, especially since, in addition to the reds, the whites are just as consistent and the Parenthèse rosé is consistently exceptional.

A beautiful, authentic wine whose value is on the rise in Languedoc. From the moment it’s opened, it exudes the fragrant scents of the south: the garrigue of the Cévennes, sun-kissed red berries, as well as delicate violet notes, gentle spices, and meaty undertones. With a soft, velvety attack, the full, deep, and warm palate is in perfect harmony with the rich array of aromas detected on the nose, which infuse a generous texture of wildly seductive jammy fruit. It is fleshy, with a touch of delicious acidity that balances the power of perfectly ripe tannins, which, without excess, retain finesse and smoothness. A long, very round finish, slightly sweet with a hint of zest. The tannic structure offers good aging potential; the hardest part will certainly be keeping Clémence to yourself. The perfect embodiment of the Languedoc identity, this “friends’ cuvée” will do justice to a couscous topped with tasty Lozère lamb skewers seasoned with herbs, or more simply to artisanal hunter’s terrines (hare with thyme, wild Causse boar with black trumpet mushrooms, venison with morels, etc.). We’re asking for more, especially since it’s a real bargain given the price! Rating = 4.2.
