About wine:
Very refined nose, lovely ripe fruit, sweet spices, smoke, hints of chalk and garrigue, flavorful and aromatic on the palate, with melt-in-the-mouth tannins and plenty of freshness. Balanced, energetic, and easy to drink.
About the estate:
The Sieur d'Arques cooperative is the major economic player in Limoux, marketing 16 million bottles. A pioneer in plot selection, it has been committed to quality for twenty years and continues to produce very well-balanced vintages. The range of Toques-et-Clochers whites, made from Chardonnay grapes grown in four Limoux terroirs, is aged in barrels in the Burgundian style, with bâtonnage, resulting in generous, charming and perfectly balanced wines. A lovely range of quality sparkling wines perfectly complements the winery's selection. Its consistent quality makes it a true spearhead for the appellation.

About the estate:
The Sieur d'Arques cooperative winery is a key player in the Limoux wine region, where it accounts for around 60% of production. Founded in 1946, it now has some 205 members and owns a vast vineyard covering 1,800 hectares spread across more than 40 communes, enabling it to carry out rigorous plot selection across a wide variety of terroirs. Its Toques et Clochers auction, established in 1990, has given Limoux a renewed reputation and drawn attention to its still wines.

A little strong in alcohol but exciting in its energy and bright fruitiness.
