"Succumb to the delicacy of its aromatic floral notes."
Grown at altitude, Haute-Vallée Chardonnay benefits from maritime influences that bring freshness and refined, elegant aromas. The attack on the palate is supple and rich, revealing notes of vanilla and pepper, white fruits, and citrus. A great Languedoc Chardonnay influenced by the Pyrenees!

Bettane & Desseauve
Rated estate (2025 guide) 1*Star (A serious, recommendable production, in line with what one would expect from its appellation(s))
About the estate:
The Sieur d'Arques cooperative is the major economic player in Limoux, marketing 16 million bottles. A pioneer in plot selection, it has been committed to quality for twenty years and continues to produce very well-balanced vintages. The range of Toques-et-Clochers whites, made from Chardonnay grapes grown in four Limoux terroirs, is aged in barrels in the Burgundian style, with bâtonnage, resulting in generous, charming and perfectly balanced wines. A lovely range of quality sparkling wines perfectly complements the winery's selection. Its consistent quality makes it a true spearhead for the appellation.

Rated estate (2025 guide) Award-winning wines (This producer's wines are regularly recognized by the guide)
About the estate:
The Sieur d'Arques cooperative winery is a key player in the Limoux wine region, where it accounts for around 60% of production. Founded in 1946, it now has some 205 members and owns a vast vineyard covering 1,800 hectares spread across more than 40 communes, enabling it to carry out rigorous plot selection across a wide variety of terroirs. Its Toques et Clochers auction, established in 1990, has given Limoux a renewed reputation and drawn attention to its still wines.

Wine rating (2025 guide) 90/100 (Review 690 May 2025)
About wine:
On opening, the nose is quite closed, with only a few toasted notes from the aging process coming through. The palate is full-bodied and quite round, with a retro-olfaction of citrus fruits. The finish brings acidity and freshness.
