"A wine accustomed to accolades (a multiple Favorite) that maintains its fine reputation in 2019 and its lively style. On the nose, ripe fruit, thyme, and garrigue. On the palate, richness, lovely spices, integrated tannins, a silky texture, and a preserved freshness that lends the wine plenty of liveliness and elegance. A must-try from the appellation.” (Le Guide Hachette 2023)

About the wine:
A wine that is no stranger to accolades (having been named a Favorite" several times) and continues to uphold its fine reputation and lively style in 2019. On the nose, ripe fruit, thyme, and garrigue. On the palate, richness, lovely spices, velvety tannins, a silky texture, and a preserved freshness that lends the wine plenty of liveliness and elegance. A must-try from the appellation.
About the estate:
Guy Vanlancker, a former schoolteacher originally from Wallonia, found himself, by a twist of fate, on the high slopes of Calamiac in 1981, where he began planting vines on what were then neglected plots of land. He patiently developed the estate, which covers 12 hectares and is in the process of converting to organic farming, on the slopes of La Livinière. His son Ambroise took over the property in 2021.

Wine rated (2023 guide) 90/100
About the wine:
Once opened, the scent of the garrigue comes to the fore. On the palate, it is full-bodied, with smooth tannins and a finish marked by a hint of rockrose.
