A fine example of a Minervois wine with a deep garnet color; it is highly expressive and intense on the nose, exuding aromas of ripe fruit blended with a light, very pleasant hint of oak. It displays roundness and power on the palate, with a velvety texture and great elegance. It will pair wonderfully with a hare stew!

About the estate:
All that remains of the medieval fortress of the Lords of Oupia are sections of wall—remnants of the outer walls—and a tower. In 1860, Romain Iché purchased the château, which passed to his grandson André in 1970. André undertook the renovation of the estate and the cellar, transforming the property into a benchmark for the Minervois appellation. He passed away in 2007, leaving his life’s work to his daughter Marie-Pierre.
