"The vintages come and go, and the Barons dynasty extends its renown and aura over the stars of the appellation. Of noble extraction, this 2009 displays a woody body that combines power and generosity. It then offers a taste of red fruit brandy enhanced with cinnamon and vanilla. Perfect with a leg of venison." About wine:

The vintages come and go, and the Barons dynasty extends its renown and aura over the stars of the appellation. Of noble extraction, this 2009 displays a woody body that combines power and generosity. It then offers a taste of red fruit in brandy, enhanced with cinnamon and vanilla. Perfect with a leg of venison.

About the estate:

All that remains of the medieval fortress of the lords of Oupia are sections of wall, remnants of the enclosure, and a tower. In 1860, Romain Iché bought the castle, which passed to his grandson André in 1970. André undertook to renovate the estate and the cellar, turning the property into a benchmark for the Minervois appellation. He passed away in 2007, leaving his life's work to his daughter Marie-Pierre.

A rather pleasant wine for a traditional meal, provided it is opened a few hours before serving.

9/14 Full nose, fruit in alcohol, light vanilla, integrated woodiness, hollow mid-palate, good drinkability. Allow to breathe well.
