"All the generosity and aromas of a ripe Syrah vinified using carbonic maceration in this enticing cuvée. Very dense, the color promises a rich and concentrated nose imbued with blackcurrant and morello cherry. The same voluptuousness emanates from a perfectly rich palate, without any softness, which incorporates beautiful fine and crisp tannins. A lively finish with fresh fruit and sweet spices. Power, elegance, indulgence: "it has it all," enthuse the tasters."(Le Guide Hachette 2023)

About wine:

All the generosity and aromas of a ripe Syrah vinified using carbonic maceration in this enticing cuvée. Very dense, the color promises a rich and concentrated nose imbued with blackcurrant and morello cherry. The same voluptuousness emanates from a wonderfully rich palate, without any softness, which incorporates beautiful fine and crisp tannins. The finish is lively with fresh fruit and sweet spices. Power, elegance, indulgence: "it has it all," enthuse the tasters.

About the estate:

Established in 1997, Jérôme Portal, who runs several properties in Minervois, not far from Serre d'Oupia, has made his mark in the Guide. He produces a number of wines under different labels: Ch. Beaufort, Ch. Molières, Ch. Artix, Ch. Portal, and Ch. Sainte-Madeleine.
