About the estate:
Established in 1997, Jérôme Portal, who operates several estates in the Minervois region, not far from the Serre d'Oupia, has made a name for himself in the Guide. He produces a wide range of wines under various labels: Ch. Beaufort, Ch. Molières, Ch. Artix, Ch. Portal, and Ch. Sainte-Madeleine.

While this vintage is commendable for its generosity and the energy it exudes, at this stage it lacks that certain something—a bit of finesse and roundness—to make it a cohesive whole.

Perhaps tasted too young! In August 2026, the wine is closed and sorely lacking in elegance, both on the nose and on the palate.
