potential

Spoutnik refers to the shape of the vat in which the cuvée is aged for 18 months: a timeless capsule. This small parcel of Syrah and Grenache is presented in a very airy style with generous fruitiness. The palate is fine, very slender, with notes of red fruit, sweet spices, and menthol. Great potential for development!

Rated estate (2026 guide) 1*Star (Up-and-coming stars or quality winemakers producing good-quality wines; you won't be disappointed when tasting the wines from these estates)

About the estate:

The estate underwent a turning point in 2019 when Jean-Pierre Girard bought the vineyard from Christophe Peyrus and immediately renamed it Clos des Reboussiers. The philosophy remains the same, with the talented Dorian Rebattel at the helm. The estate, perched high up and ideally located near the Pic, covers a total of 8.5 hectares, on unique soils of flint limestone and dolomitic resurgence. The range tasted this year, complex and well-balanced, further confirms its star status.
