About the wine:
Pic-Saint-Loup isn't a heavy wine, but it's smooth and easy to drink. It features powerful peppery notes, a soft, fresh palate, and plenty of savory depth. It is very much in line with the vintage's finest wines.
About the estate:
The estate reached a turning point in 2019 when Jean-Pierre Girard purchased the vineyard from Christophe Peyrus, immediately renaming it Clos des Reboussiers. The philosophy remains the same, with the talented Dorian Rebattel at the helm. The estate, perched high up and ideally situated near the Pic, spans 8.5 hectares on unique soils of flinty limestone and dolomitic resurgences. The range tasted this year, complex and well-balanced, reaffirms its star status.

In the Organic vein, here is a Pic Saint-Loup perfect for sharing, with an eloquent label. Sleek and surprisingly light, it delivers a supple, exceptionally fresh palate, marked by delectable fruit—without being overpowering—blended with peppery spices and fine, chalky tannins. The finish is clean and airy. We would have appreciated a bit more body and depth. Easy-drinking and so approachable that you won’t hesitate to reach for it again with eggplant stuffed with Parmesan. Score = 3.9.
