“Aromas of ripe black cherries, sorrel leaves, and wild basil. Superb, velvety black fruit wrapped in an elegant cloak of garrigue and stone. Captivatingly fresh, tight, and finely crafted. Incredibly rich yet with a delicate acidity. This distinguished wine will continue to improve over the next few years.” (Jancis Robinson 2020)

About the wine:
Well-structured, this wine has a Southern character, with aromas of rosemary and a fresh finish that enhances the overall experience.
About the estate:
After completing advanced studies in biogenetics, ampelography, and oenology, Cyril Bourgne began his career in Bordeaux (Château de Fieuzal) before embarking, alongside his wife Nadia, on a more personal winemaking venture in the Languedoc. The vineyard is meticulously maintained, allowing for the extraction of complex and refined flavors during winemaking, which is now carried out in the new cellar nestled within the Saint-Chinian landscape. The precision of barrel aging, applied to the Grand Vin cuvée—dominated by Syrah and Mourvèdre—aims to redefine the contemporary expression of Saint-Chinian.

After seven years, rich black fruit dominates the nose, though the alcohol is noticeable. On the palate, the wine retains a lovely freshness, with notes of blackberries, plums, and coffee. The finish is rather short. A good, solid wine nonetheless.
