“A rich, Mediterranean style with a lively finish.” (Le Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France 2022 - RVF) The nose blends notes of garrigue and maquis herbs with cherry aromas. On the palate, toasted notes mingle with this bouquet. The structure is velvety, yet displays freshness and savory notes that linger on the finish. Perfect for pairing with Southern French cuisine!

Wine rated (2022 guide) 90/100

Rated Estate (2024 Guide) Selected (Please note that this guide is a ranking, and as such, all the estates listed here—even those without a star—represent, in our view, the pinnacle of French winemaking.)

About the wine:

A rich, Mediterranean-style wine with a lively finish.

About the estate:

After completing advanced studies in biogenetics, ampelography, and oenology, Cyril Bourgne began his career in Bordeaux (Château de Fieuzal) before embarking, alongside his wife Nadia, on a more personal winemaking venture in the Languedoc. The vineyard is meticulously maintained, allowing for the extraction of complex and refined flavors during winemaking, which is now carried out in the new cellar nestled within the Saint-Chinian landscape. The precision of barrel aging, applied to the Grand Vin cuvée—dominated by Syrah and Mourvèdre—aims to redefine the contemporary expression of Saint-Chinian.
