This Saint-Chinian rosé is delightfully light and fresh, with a fruity and spicy character. It’s a crisp, very approachable wine, with a slight effervescence that makes it a delightful aperitif, but it also pairs effortlessly with meals. A must-have!

Son caractère perlant le rend très friand en apéritif mais son association est aussi très aisée à table : légumes grillés, salades estivales, terrines, soupes de poisson, anchois et anchoïade, tapenade, caviar d'aubergine au cumin, grillade…<br/>
Bettane & Desseauve
Rated estate (2024 guide) 2 stars (A serious and recommendable production, but a little more consistent and uniform than the previous one)
About the estate:
Isabelle and Mathieu Champart created their estate from scratch in 1976 and have made it a signature brand because, year after year, everything there is always excellent. The apparent simplicity of these lesser-known wines was matched only by the length and complexity of their finishes. The estate has changed hands, with Pascaline Bour, a relative of the Mulliez family, taking it over. We look forward to the wines produced by the new team and hope they will continue an incredible string of successes in an appellation that, curiously, suffers from a lack of recognition.
Guide Hachette des vins
Rated estate (2024 guide) Award-winning wines (This producer's wines are regularly awarded by the guide)
About the estate:
A magnificent landscape, terraced vineyards, a hillside farmhouse, and a very stony, clay-limestone terroir. Since 1976, Isabelle and Matthieu Champart have been cultivating 13 hectares of vineyards (80% of which are organic) in this picture-perfect setting, with an organic approach that predates their official conversion in 2019. They have been making wine here since 1988, the year they left the cooperative.

Rated estate (2024 guide) 1*Star (Up-and-coming stars or quality winemakers producing good-quality wines; you won't be disappointed when tasting the wines from these estates)
About the estate:
Fans of the Champart couple, both recently retired, can rest assured: the estate remains in excellent shape, following in the footsteps of its creators! Nicolas Gaignon continues to bring these beautiful wines to life, rooted in clay-limestone soil. The 16-hectare estate, situated on the limestone folds overlooking the town of Saint-Chinian, began its transition to organic farming in 2019. Here, the wines are designed for both immediate enjoyment and long-term aging.

Review by Mr. BERTRAND D. Published on July 7, 2013
A beautiful pale pink color—surprising for a Saint Chinian—with a tangy flavor. "This is a fresh, approachable wine that’s perfect as an aperitif, but it also pairs easily with meals." This assessment is more in line with the description on the website. As for the phrase "A must-have!", it’s particularly exaggerated.
