Wine rated 94-97/100 (Extraordinary wine)

About wine:

A potential star in the making, Terrasses du Larzac Le Songe d'Eocène 2017 (tasted as a sample blended from several barrels) is slightly less aromatic than the usual bottling, but it is more concentrated. Full-bodied, creamy, and opulent, it combines blueberry, licorice, and vanilla in a breathtaking whirlwind of flavors, with a long and intense finish.

About wine:

A selection of parcels and a cuvée of old vines, the 2017 Le Songe d'Éocène reveals a deeper color and a fabulous nose of olive, pepper, and gamey black fruits. Full-bodied, beautifully concentrated, with good acidity and a supple, consistent texture, this is a beautiful, unique Syrah (there is a little Grenache and Mourvèdre in the blend) from this estate that will drink well for over a decade.
