"Elegant and refined"

“Syrah, Grenache Noir, and Cinsault come together in this wine, which doesn’t try to dominate but makes the most of the vintage: well-ripened tannins gently frame an elegant, round, and sun-kissed body—powerful yet refined—infused with black fruits, spices, and licorice. The finish—clean, luscious, and without a hint of bitterness—seals the deal.” (Le Guide Hachette 2025).

Wine rated 90/100

Rated 2*Stars (A solid, recommended wine, though slightly more consistent and uniform than the previous one)

About the estate:

Mas Conscience has changed hands and is now led by Audrey Bonnet-Koenig, who was in charge of winemaking at Château de Sérame and managed La Peira after a stint at Dubourdieu. She is assisted by the renowned oenologist Claude Gros. Let’s hope this new team continues the focus on quality that Nathalie and Éric Ajorque began at this beautiful estate.

About the wine:

Syrah, Grenache Noir, and Cinsault are blended in this wine, which doesn't try to impose itself but makes the most of the vintage: well-ripened tannins gently frame an elegant, round, and sun-kissed body—powerful yet refined—infused with black fruits, spices, and licorice. The clean, indulgent finish, without a hint of bitterness, is the final touch that wins you over.

About the estate:

Founded by Éric and Nathalie Ajorque, this 15-hectare organic vineyard, located at the foot of the Séranne mountain range, was purchased in 2000 by Roman Kocholl, who fulfilled his dream after a long career in the digital industry in Hamburg. At the helm is Audrey Bonnet, an agricultural engineer and former director of the Peira winery, supported by Claude Gros, a renowned consulting oenologist.
