Domaine Loic Mahé
Passionate and talented, Loic Mahé runs his estate with a simple working philosophy: to work with nature to produce balanced, authentic wines, each expressing the unique characteristics of the Gué d'Orger terroirs: sandstone schist, schist alterations, aeolian sands, and phtanites.
The Domaine Loic Mahé vineyard, which covers only 5 hectares, is Ecocert certified for organic farming. This approach requires a lot of work in the vineyards, always seeking the most favorable balance for the harmonious development of the plant and its fruit.
Domaine Loic Mahé keeps its soils alive and its environment preserved through tillage, the exclusion of all chemical products and fertilizers, the use of biodynamic preparations, and limited yields (30-35 hl/ha) to allow for natural concentration of matter in the fruit. The grapes are harvested exclusively by hand, and the vinification process is natural, continuing in the cellar the spirit of the work begun in the vineyard. Fermentation is slow, using indigenous yeasts, without any chaptalization and with little sulfur, and the wine is aged in oak barrels or small containers.
