Patrick Baudouin Estate
Domaine Patrick Baudouin is a family-owned estate located in Chaudefonds-sur-Layon. Patrick Baudouin represents the fourth generation to manage the vineyard, which currently comprises 13.5 hectares of vineyards in production. ’s Estate Patrick Baudouin began converting his vineyards to organic farming in 2002. Any new plot that is leased or purchased is immediately placed in conversion if it is not already organic. Since 1997, Patrick Baudouin has resumed soil cultivation, then abandoned chemical herbicides, and as of 2001, banned synthetic treatments. Since 1994, no wine has been chaptalized, limiting the addition of external elements to the initial grape juice to minimum doses of sulfur.

Domaine Patrick Baudouin produces dry and semi-dry white Anjou wines made exclusively from the Chenin grape variety. It also produces Quarts de Chaume and Coteaux du Layon—sweet wines—in small quantities, obtained solely through natural concentration on the vines, as well as red Anjou and village wines made from Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon. A perfectionist in his commitment, Patrick Baudouin is constantly pushing the boundaries in his pursuit of quality viticulture, the expression of terroirs, and the enjoyment of fruit-forward wines.
