Patrick Baudouin Estate
Domaine Patrick Baudouin is a family estate located in Chaudefonds-sur-Layon. Patrick Baudouin represents the fourth generation to run the vineyard, which currently has 13.5 hectares of vines in production. Patrick Baudouin began converting his vineyards to organic farming in 2002. Any new plot of land that is leased or purchased is immediately converted to organic farming if it is not already organic. Since 1997, Patrick Baudouin has resumed working the soil, then abandoned chemical weedkillers, and since 2001, banned synthetic treatments. Since 1994, no wine has been chaptalized, limiting the addition of elements other than the original grape juice to minimum doses of sulfur.

Domaine Patrick Baudouin produces dry and semi-dry white Anjou wines made exclusively from the Chenin grape variety. It also produces small quantities of Quarts de Chaume and Coteaux du Layon sweet wines, obtained solely through natural concentration on the vines, as well as red Anjou and village wines made from Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon grapes. A perfectionist in his commitment, Patrick Baudouin is constantly exploring new avenues in his quest for quality viticulture, the expression of terroirs, and the pleasure of fruity wines.
