“The crisp freshness of the grapes from the sandy vineyards bursts forth in Diptyque, a sweet and tender wine that’s very early to drink. ” (Le Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France 2017 - RVF) The quintessential “wine for friends,” the Diptyque cuvée expresses its freshness through aromas of red berries. Subtle herbal notes reflect the distinctive character of these 35-year-old Cabernet Franc vines. A perfectly crisp Bourgueil!

Wine rated (2017 guide) 15,5/20 (Good wine)
Rated estate (2026 guide): 2*Stars (These exceptional estates, often boasting fabulous terroirs, are must-haves that, thanks to the consistency and excellence of their wines, deserve a place in the cellars of discerning wine lovers)
About the wine:
The crisp freshness of the grapes from the sandy vineyards really comes through in Dyptique, a sweet and tender wine that ripens very early.
About the estate:
Emmanuel Caslot and his sister Laurie carry on the work of thirteen generations with love and dedication at this historic estate in Bourgueil. Here, Cabernet Franc is vinified with great care to subtly express the terroirs of sand, clay, and limestone found on the lower, middle, and upper slopes. Each label is thoughtfully adorned with a color that reflects the wine’s intensity and complexity: from bright red for the Peu Muleau to deep purple for the Grand-Mont. These quintessential Bourgueil wines highlight the refined, cool austerity of Cabernet Franc while embodying a magnificent smoothness of texture. Let’s commend the bottle aging in tuffeau cellars prior to release.
