About the wine:
This flagship estate in Anjou Favorites countless " Favorites awards. Here is yet another addition to its list of accolades: a Chardonnay grown on schist soil and aged briefly in tanks for three months. On the nose, white fruit is enveloped in soft floral and buttery notes. Full-bodied, rich, and silky on the palate, it features exotic and brioche-like aromas that enhance its complexity.
About the estate:
Led by the younger generation—Stéphane, Julien, and Vincent Denis, who joined the business in 2003, 2006, and 2009, respectively—this has been a family business since 1920; it started with 5 hectares and now spans 90 hectares. A flagship estate in Haut-Layon, renowned in particular for its red wines, but also highly skilled in producing whites and rosés. A (very) safe bet.
