Bettane & Desseauve
Grown on a 4-hectare plot surrounded by an orthogneiss wall, Clos la Carizière has undergone very little human intervention. With no chemical treatments in the vineyard and indigenous yeasts in the cellar, this Muscadet Sèvre-et-Maine reflects its terroir, with a very distinct mineral signature. Ideal with a seafood platter.

About wine:
Beautiful saline dimension with a depth of iodine.
About the estate:

Wine rated (2016 guide) 15,5/20 (Good wine)
Rated estate (2016 guide) 1*Star (Up-and-coming stars or quality winemakers producing good wines; you won't be disappointed when tasting the wines from these estates)
About wine:
Clos La Carizière is becoming fuller and more fleshy, but also more reluctant to reveal itself.
About the estate:
Jo Landron's vintages have become benchmarks in the small family of terroir Muscadets. The wines are marketed in a staggered manner, starting with the light Amphibolite, which is best enjoyed for its fruitiness and is very popular in wine bars, followed by the clay-sand or sandstone wines, depending on the case, with the age of the vines influencing the beautiful arrangement of the terroirs. In the best years, Hermine d'Or combines maturity and freshness, and Fief du Breil offers real complexity.

Long live Muscadet! At that price, why deprive yourself? It has become my favorite aperitif wine.

A fairly light Muscadet, without aggressiveness, very fresh. Sometimes almost sparkling. Very pleasant, excellent value for money.

Drunk in September 2015: a very pleasant surprise, with a lively attack, lovely acidity, and good tension. Muscadet lovers will not be disappointed.
