Château de Tracy - Pouilly-Fumé Haute Densité 2019
91/100
Bettane & Desseauve
“This single-vineyard wine is sourced from limestone soils planted at a density of 17,000 vines per hectare, which make up this cuvée. This high planting density yields a full-bodied structure with chalky notes that perfectly extend the finish.”(The Bettane + Desseauve Guide) The vines draw their reserves from deeper in the soil, giving this cuvée great volume and a beautiful expression of the terroir that blends finesse, concentration, and liveliness. A rare cuvée with incredible length!

About the estate:
Under the leadership of Juliette d’Assay, Tracy has become an icon of the Pouilly-Fumé appellation. Perched above the Loire River, its vineyards are dedicated to Sauvignon Blanc, the estate’s specialty. The diverse soil types—ranging from flinty clay to marl and limestone—enable the production of several cuvées imbued with these terroirs, each a reliable choice that never disappoints. Everything is progressing, and the prestige cuvées are impressive. An estate to watch closely.

An exceptional Sauvignon Blanc with a complex nose and notes of gingerbread. The palate is seductive and elegant, with great body. It was a real treat to taste this wine.
