Château de Tracy
Château de Tracy stands on a rocky outcrop overlooking the Loire River, in the town that bears its name. This family-owned estate was taken over in 2014 by Juliette d'Assay, who initially served as co-manager; she is a former magazine photographer and the youngest of the siblings. That same year, the family vineyard earned the HVE (High Environmental Value) certification, recognizing its virtuous philosophy and farming methods that respect natural balances.

The Château de Tracy vineyard spans 33 hectares of hillsides a few kilometers from Pouilly-sur-Loire, in the Loire Valley. Planted exclusively with Sauvignon, the vineyard encompasses various terroirs that give the wines distinct expressions: the flinty clay of the Butte de Tracy produces wines with a bold, powerful, and assertive character; the Kimmeridgian and Portlandian limestones of the Champs du Cri plateau yield rich, elegant wines on flinty terroirs.

A unique feature is a sparkling wine made from Chardonnay planted on a limestone vein terroir known as “Dame de Tracy.”

Tracy & Cie

In 2017, the château’s team also launched a wine merchant division to broaden horizons and explore new possibilities. This initiative is part of a quality-driven vision, fueled by curiosity and a desire to discover and share Gems in the heart of the vineyards, offering excellent value for money. This artisanal wine merchant, named Tracy & Cie, enables the establishment of new local partnerships with winemakers committed to traditional values and their terroir, and the creation of micro-cuvées that are authentic and dedicated to healthy, respectful agriculture.
