"If you're looking for a Provençal color in your rosé, Delaporte's Sancerre Rosé 2021 is not what you need. Instead, it's a rather jovial raspberry-tinged pink, with aromas of strawberry and cream. It's a dry rosé, seductive and easy to drink, but with a little more substance than most rosés. Its tangy finish reflects the freshness of the 2021 season, giving it a nice guiding energy. Very pleasant." (Vinous 2022) A very fine rosé that will accompany moments of sharing, summer barbecues and even an Asian dish... Asian dish...

Bettane & Desseauve

Bettane & Desseauve

Domaine rated (guide 2025) 2*Stars (A serious and recommendable production, but a little more regular and homogeneous than the previous one)

About the domain :

Mathieu Delaporte is one of the young winemakers who are now making the Sancerrois region famous. His 33 hectares, mainly located in Chavignol, are cultivated with great care and are highly original, with 50 different parcels, 80% of them south-facing. In addition, 35% of the vines are planted on flint soils, a rare proportion in the Sancerrois region. This richness of terroir enables the production of great parcel-based cuvées and complete, harmonious blends. As prices are still reasonable, you'll need to reserve immediately after the harvest, as success is beginning to make itself known!

About the domain :

Handed down from generation to generation since the 17th century, and now run by Jean-Yves Delaporte and his son Matthieu, this 33-hectare family estate is located in Chavignol, a charming village in the heart of the Sancerre region renowned for its goat's cheese.

Domaine rated (guide 2025) 1*Star (Stars in the making or quality winemakers with good production levels, you won't be disappointed when you taste the wines from these estates)

About the domain :

In 2010, the arrival of Matthieu Delaporte saw this historic Chavignol estate move towards tillage, the end of herbicides, lower yields and vinification in wood. From the outset, the winegrower was very ambitious, taking on the task of restructuring a 33-hectare vineyard. It's a major undertaking, with the aim of producing more precise wines that have been certified organic since 2023. The range combines blends (Chavignol and Silex) and lieux-dits (the mythical south-facing hillside of Monts Damnés, as well as Le Cul de Beaujeu, famous elsewhere for its whites, here planted with pinot noir). The whites are meticulous, meticulous, calibrated; the reds, just as well made, can gain in charm. We salute this work by awarding the domaine its first star.
