“Bright yellow-gold color. Generous nose with quince, apple, and elegant vegetal notes. Round on the palate, full-bodied, rich, and lively, though still a bit angular, with a subtle mineral accent, a delicious silky texture, and a persistent, lemony finish. About the estate:

The arrival of the talented Jean-Philippe Louis as technical director has breathed new life into this “sleeping beauty” of the Saumur region, where the soil is clay-limestone and the sun shines generously. The 2018 vintages herald the estate’s resurgence, with a red cuvée from old vines offering rich, full-bodied fruit. The Clos-des-Oratoriens white, however, needs more time to develop. Stay tuned!
