Robert Parker - Wine Advocate
Wine rated (2025 guide) 93/100 (Excellent wine)
Estate rated "Recommended" (Wine producer recommended by Robert Parker - The Wine Advocate)
About the wine:
Produced from the only clay-limestone terroir in the Bonnigal-Bodet range, the 2023 Chenin Buisson exudes aromas of pear, peach, spices, white lilac, and candied citrus. Medium- to full-bodied, ample, and fleshy, it has more texture than the Clos de Beauce, with a creamy core of fruit and a salty, mineral finish. It needs time to open up.

About the wine:
A mineral character, evident in both the aroma and the balance on the palate, defines Le Buisson—a magnificent, perfectly dry Chenin with a distinct identity.
About the estate:
One of the revelations of recent years in Touraine! When they took over the estate in 2015, Jean-Baptiste Bonnigal and Stéphane Bodet halved the production area to focus on their best plots in Amboise, where Côt (Malbec) and Chenin are showcased. You can sense a pursuit of finesse, luscious body, and floral notes in the expression of these vibrant reds. For the whites, special care is taken with the extensive range of dry Chenin wines, each sourced from specific lieux-dits. The grapes are harvested at just the right ripeness, and aging in oak is meticulous; the wines offer a variety and quality rarely matched in this region. These winemakers, who are deeply committed to raising the profile of the Amboise appellation, are definitely ones to watch closely.
