Bonnigal-Bodet - Touraine Sauvignon blanc 2025
"A bright and expressive Sauvignon, best enjoyed while it’s still young and vibrant"
This white wine reveals its full splendor, unfolding a vibrant aromatic palette blending citrus, pear, melon, and boxwood, enhanced by the lively minerality of the flint-rich terroir. The palate, crisp and precise, finishes with a delicate hint of salinity that prolongs the sensation of freshness.

About the estate:
One of the revelations of recent years in Touraine! When they took over the estate in 2015, Jean-Baptiste Bonnigal and Stéphane Bodet halved the production area to focus on their best plots in Amboise, where Côt (Malbec) and Chenin are showcased. You can sense a pursuit of finesse, luscious body, and floral notes in the expression of these vibrant reds. For the whites, special care is taken with the extensive range of dry Chenin wines, each sourced from specific lieux-dits. The grapes are harvested at just the right ripeness, and aging in oak is meticulous; the wines offer a variety and quality rarely matched in this region. These winemakers, who are deeply committed to raising the profile of the Amboise appellation, are definitely ones to watch closely.

Review and comment by Mr. GILLES D. Published on April 23, 2026
From an exceptional 2025 vintage, this Sauvignon captivates with its balance between a pleasant roundness, great aromatic intensity—notably featuring citrus notes—and crisp acidity that lingers into a long, refreshing, and briny finish. It pairs perfectly with Friday’s white fish (such as cod en papillote with zucchini) or Bouchot mussels prepared Charente-style. Rating = 4.
