Robert Parker - Wine Advocate
Rated wine (2025 guide) 93/100 (Excellent wine)
Estate rated "Recommended" (Wine producer recommended by Robert Parker - The Wine Advocate)
About the wine:
Made from the only clay-limestone terroir in the Bonnigal-Bodet range, the 2023 Chenin Buisson exudes aromas of pear, peach, spices, white lilac, and candied citrus. Medium- to full-bodied, ample, and fleshy, it is more textured than the Clos de Beauce, with a creamy core of fruit and a salty, mineral finish. It needs time to open up.

About the wine:
A mineral character, evident both in the aroma and in the balance on the palate, defines Le Buisson, a magnificent, perfectly dry Chenin with a distinct identity.
About the estate:
One of the standout discoveries in Touraine in recent years! When they took over the estate in 2015, Jean-Baptiste Bonnigal and Stéphane Bodet halved the vineyard area to focus on their best plots in Amboise, where Côt (Malbec) and Chenin are showcased. One senses a pursuit of finesse, luscious texture, and floral notes in the expression of these vibrant reds. For the whites, special care is taken with the extensive range of dry Chenins sourced from specific lieux-dits. The grapes are perfectly ripe, and aging in oak is meticulous; the wines offer a variety and quality rarely matched in this region. These winemakers, deeply committed to raising the profile of the Amboise appellation, are well worth keeping a close eye on.
