About the wine:

The only white wine from the Douro region produced from granitic soils, the Tiara 2023 is a blend of Rabigato (all white wines contain a high proportion of Rabigato, which provides excellent acidity), Códega de Larinho, Donzelinho, Cercial, and other grape varieties (perhaps a little Alvarinho as well) from very old vines located at an elevation of 600 meters. It was fermented and aged in old, neutral oak casks (ranging from 1,300 to 2,500 liters) to give it a crystalline, pure character. It exhibits a certain austerity, controlled ripeness, and a balanced palate, with the granularity of granite and a hint of saltiness. It is surprisingly expressive for its young age and seems harmonious even after very recent bottling. The 2023 vintages seem quite approachable. This one is full of character, with a blend of salty, floral, and herbaceous notes—very flavorful and zesty. It displays tremendous balance and is approachable, but should also age well. 13,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in February 2025. It was bottled without fining or filtration, which may be why it seems so expressive. 2025–2033

About the wine:

Floral on the nose, with exuberant yet well-controlled white fruit aromas and a herbaceous note. The flavorful palate is angular yet long, with a linear profile and almost creamy, complex, and captivating stone fruit notes. Concentrated yet lively. Made primarily from Encruzado, Bical, and Malvasia. Fermented in granite “lagares” (rectangular vats), then aged in barrels for 20 months. Ready to drink now or for cellaring.

About the wine:

On the nose, aromas of citrus, stone fruit, acacia, and damp stone, along with notes of vanilla cookies, a hint of pineapple, and a touch of coconut. On the palate, it is supple, round, and mineral, with juicy acidity and a subtle spicy, woody note that accompanies its long finish.
