Bettane & Desseauve

Rated estate (2018 guide) 2 stars (A serious and recommendable production, but a little more consistent and uniform than the previous one)

About the estate:

Founded in 2000, the partnership between singer Emmanuelle Dupéré and geological engineer Laurent Barrera is now well established. These merchants, winemakers, and growers are well supplied with high-quality grapes, and Provence is a favorite region for the duo. After selling their property, Clos de la Procure, in 2016, they refocused on their core business: producing a range of delicious, characterful wines.

3-star estate (very high-quality production)

About the estate:

Laurent Barrera, a geological engineer, and Emmanuelle Dupéré, who holds a BTS degree in viticulture and oenology from Bordeaux, launched a small wine trading business in 1998 with the aim of producing very high-quality wines throughout southeastern France. They buy grapes on the vine and closely monitor the winemaking process. Le Clos de la Procure, which they manage directly, consists mainly of old vines in Carnoules (30 km east of Bandol). In 2009, a new winery was built in the middle of the vineyards.

Rated estate (2018 guide) 1*Star (Up-and-coming stars or quality winemakers producing good wines; you won't be disappointed when tasting the wines from these estates)

About the estate:

2016 was a turning point for Emmanuelle Dupéré and Laurent Barrera. The couple sold their Clos de la Procure estate in Carnoules to devote themselves exclusively to their high-end wine trading business in Provence, the southern Rhône, and Languedoc. Carefully selecting their supplies, they highlight fruity, juicy vintages in the Caractère range, as well as more ambitious wines with a strong Provençal character, particularly reds (80% of volumes), such as The Last One, or TLM, which undergoes two months of maceration. The wide range of labels will appeal to enthusiasts looking for a thrill.
