Vieilles Vignes red opens with a complex bouquet, with notes of blackberry, licorice, and spices. A rich, silky, balanced, dense wine on the palate, with beautiful maturity and tannins that are both fine and present. Not to be missed!

Bettane & Desseauve

Rated estate (2020 guide) 2 stars (A serious and recommendable production, but a little more consistent and uniform than the previous one)

About the estate:

This is one of the most famous estates in Provence. It belongs to the Combard family, who manage this 85-hectare vineyard, including 30 hectares of leased land. The vineyard, located on the coast on schist soil, has been cultivated organically since 1979. Steps are currently being taken to convert the entire estate to biodynamic farming. We applaud this commitment, which is no easy feat for an estate of this size. While the wines are among the sure values of Provence, the family also works hard to welcome visitors and offers a cultural program during the sunny days of the season that is well worth a visit.
