About the estate:

Founded in 1204 by the Knights Templar, Peyrassol is a magical place. Acquired in 1789 by the Rigord family, the wines have made a name for themselves and are regularly ranked among the best in Provence. Forced to sell in 2001, Philippe Austruy acquired these 1,000 hectares of forest and 100 hectares of vineyards. He renovated the buildings with passion and dedication, transforming the garden into an open-air museum. The wines gradually found their rhythm and the arrival of Stéphane Derenoncourt as a consultant, combined with the modernization of the winery, enabled the estate to reach new heights.

Note and opinion by Mr. GILLES D. Published on 06/23/2025

We appreciate the quality of the visual appearance, as well as the flattering and indulgent profile of this rosé. It has a lively and clean attack followed by a dense, fruity, and very thirst-quenching juice, with a slight roundness and a light, mouth-watering finish. Perfect for a relaxed festive aperitif with delicious zucchini flower fritters stuffed with ricotta and Parmesan cheese, and mini melon skewers with Parma ham. Rating = 3.9.
