Domaine Mouton Père et Fils - Côte-Rôtie Maison Rouge 2023
1*Étoile
Hachette
"An emblematic cuvée of the estate.
"From 85 ares of steep slopes covered with schistose granite in the Maison Rouge area, this 2023, barely out of the cradle, pleases with its juicy bigarreau and blackcurrant fruit, enhanced by the smoky, lardy notes of 18 months' barrel ageing. The palate is on a par with this: frank, fresh and well-structured, with elegant tannins and a more than respectable length, with a woody undertone that is logically present but calibrated to suit the whole. An accomplished, balanced and highly digestible Côte-Rôtie, which bears witness to meticulous work in the vineyard and cellar in a turbulent vintage". (Le Guide Hachette 2026)
