A Côtes-du-Rhône that blends the terroirs of the northern and southern Rhône Valley! On the nose, this cuvée evokes Provence while retaining a certain freshness, with notes of garrigue, thyme, and red berries. The palate is opulent yet well-balanced, offering flavors of sour cherry and blackberry. The velvety finish is quite long, with subtle tannins.

This wine is perfect for fall dishes and the holiday season, but it’s also great in the spring and height of summer—served slightly cooler—for aperitifs and barbecues...
Bettane & Desseauve
Winery rated 1 star (A high-quality, recommended wine that lives up to what one would expect from its appellation(s))
About the estate:
This estate owns several lovely vineyards in the Côte Blonde region, including one on the Goutay, near their home, but their best wine comes from Les Rochains, on the schist soils near La Landonne. The production still lacks consistency, but the style is authentic, bearing the hallmark of whole-cluster fermentation. The 2017 vintage showed great promise this year.

Rated estate (2024 guide) 1*Star (Up-and-coming stars or quality winemakers producing wines of a high standard—you won’t be disappointed when tasting the wines from these estates)
About the estate:
The Garon wines beautifully showcase the diversity of the Côte-Rôtie terroirs. We are captivated by the estate’s winemaking style, which stands out for its refined texture. The fruit is precise, and the aging profiles gain depth depending on the terroirs and the winemaker’s skill in managing oak. Among the various cuvées, La Sybarine reflects the character of the granite soils; Les Triotes, located on the Côte Blonde, next to Lancement, is made from schist; Les Rochins is crafted from the brown schist of the Côte Brune.
