Our Viognier, a recent release from the estate, will perfectly meet the expectations of fans of this grape variety! Rounded and full-bodied, it has an intense nose with aromas of white and yellow fruits (nectarines, apricots) and a hint of lemon. The palate is voluptuous and rich, with an enveloping, comforting body! A versatile white wine to enjoy chilled!

Bettane & Desseauve

Rated estate (2019 guide): 1*Star (A high-quality, recommendable wine that lives up to what one would expect from its appellation(s))

About the estate:

Christèle Plantevin loves cooking and wine. She first pursued a career in another field before returning to Cairanne to take over this family estate, which dates back to 1902, where the garrigue terroir (red clay subsoil and pebbles on the surface) lends power and complexity to her wines. Limiting yields helps preserve the richness and distinctive character of both the reds and the whites.

It lacks a bit of aroma, but the price makes this Viognier a winner.

Lack of balance: there is too much alcohol, which masks the flavors.
