“Notes of black olive envelop and permeate the core of blackberry and cherry in the 2020 Crozes Hermitage. Dense, concentrated, and ripe, with a velvety texture and lovely length, it is a fine example of the appellation.” (Wine Advocate 2022) Pure Crozes!

Bettane & Desseauve
Rated estate (2020 guide) 1*Star (A serious, recommendable production that lives up to what one would expect from its appellation(s))
About the estate:
A classic estate in the Mercurol region, which consistently produces supple wines meant to be enjoyed young. The “Gaby” cuvée is often more ambitious, though in some vintages with less substance, the oak can be a bit too pronounced. The reds here are better than the whites, as confirmed by our tasting of the 2017 vintage.

About the wine:
Notes of black olive envelop and intertwine with the blackberry and cherry core of the 2020 Crozes Hermitage. Medium-bodied to full-bodied, concentrated and ripe, with a velvety texture and lovely length, it is a fine example of the appellation.

Rated Estate (2020 Guide) Selected (Please note that this guide is a ranking, and as such, all the estates listed here—even those without a star—represent, in our view, the excellence of French wine production.)
About the estate:
Located in Mercurol, the estate proudly flies the flag for the Crozes-Hermitage appellation, of which it is one of the most reliable producers, especially with its Gaby vintages, which are more ambitious and complex.
