Produced on very clay-rich soils with gravel from the Ouvèze River, Les Christins is a superb example of how old Grenache vines from the southern Rhône express themselves. It offers an impressive aromatic bouquet, with notes of black fruit and peppery spices. Powerful and full-bodied, it reveals notes of black olives and licorice on the palate, supported by a lovely structure. A top-notch Vacqueyras!

About the estate:

Over the past 15 years, the Perrin family of Château de Beaucastel has expanded by acquiring vineyards in the southern Rhône Valley. This strategy has proven successful both in the Luberon, with La Vieille Ferme, and in the other terroirs featured here. Their mastery of fermentation and appropriate aging techniques have played a major role in this success.
