Le Clos des Fées - Les Sorcières rouge 2017 (Magnum)
14/20
Bettane & Desseauve
90-92/100
Robert Parker
“A superb tank-aged red, Les Sorcières 2017 is a blend of Syrah, Grenache, and Carignan. With hints of garrigue, it features notes of blueberry and cherry, but with an added layer of complexity. This medium-bodied wine is silky and long-finishing and should offer superb value for money. ” (Wine Advocate 2018 - Robert Parker)

About the estate:
Hervé Bizeul, winemaker and rebellious writer, has little left to prove, as his estate is among the elite of Roussillon. That doesn't stop him from continually questioning himself, exploring new avenues, innovating, thinking outside the box, and creating new vintages. This is particularly evident in his Pinot Noir, which came out of nowhere and bravely faces the harsh sun and tramontane winds of the Agly Valley. Here, each cuvée has its own distinct personality, sometimes uncompromising, just like its winemaker. No fewer than seven different terroirs give rise to a serious and diverse interpretation of Roussillon. A model of its kind.
