" Favorite 1J1V
This 100% Carignan is a pure delicacy, intensely fruity (cherry, blackberry, blackcurrant), spicy, suave and juicy, while retaining its length. A wine in the image of Fernand Vaquer, pioneering winemaker and French rugby champion in 1921 with USAP, to whom this cuvée pays homage.

Wine rated (2025 guide) 90/100
About the wine:
The nose immediately sets the tone, with expressive, intense jammy fruit. On the palate, a full, enveloping body sheathes the tannic structure. A rather powerful, rich Côtes-du-Roussillon-Villages, bordering on opulence. Without being overly refined, this wine delivers a fine gourmet performance.

An easy-drinking wine with lots of ripe fruit. Very drinkable, you can't resist a refill. I'd recommend it.

Note and review by M. GILLES D. Published on 30/05/2025
Slightly rustic and slender on the palate, it quickly gains in volume and unfurls a beautiful, caressing, unctuous texture with an intensity of jammy, spice-infused black fruits, structured by powerful tannins that have already melted into the flesh. A decent finish with a touch of cocoa. A good, timeless wine at a great price. More digestible than it appears, it was shared among friends with tapas of Catalan black pudding or Iberian pork, followed by grilled marinated bull's steak. Score = 4.
