Parcé Frères - Côtes du Roussillon Villages Hommage à Fernand rouge 2024
90/100

" Favorite "
This 100% Carignan is a pure delight, intensely fruity (cherry, blackberry, blackcurrant), spicy, smooth, and juicy, with a long finish. A wine that reflects the character of Fernand Vaquer, a pioneering winemaker and French rugby champion in 1921 with USAP, to whom this cuvée pays tribute.

Wine rated (2025 guide) 90/100
About wine:
The nose immediately sets the tone, with expressive and intense jammy fruit. On the palate, a full-bodied and enveloping texture coats the tannic structure. A fairly powerful, rich Côtes-du-Roussillon-Villages, bordering on opulence. Without being particularly refined, this wine offers a satisfying, high-quality experience.

A smooth wine with lots of ripe fruit. Very drinkable, you can't resist pouring yourself another glass. I would recommend it.

Note and opinion by Mr. GILLES D. Published on 05/30/2025
The palate is slightly rustic and slender, quickly gaining volume and unfolding a beautiful texture. It is caressing and creamy with an intensity of jammy black fruits infused with spices, structured by powerful tannins that are already well integrated into the flesh. The finish is pleasant with a hint of cocoa. A good little timeless wine, unaffected by passing fads, at a bargain price! More digestible than it appears, it was shared among friends with Catalan black pudding or Iberian pork tapas, followed by marinated grilled bull steaks. Rating = 4.
