The intense yet subtle nose offers toasty notes on first impression, before opening up to reveal fine notes of cherry, blackberry, sweet spices, and vanilla. The palate is smooth and silky. About the estate:

The Domaine de Rombeau has been in the family since 1810. Pierre-Henri de La Fabrègue—a well-known winemaker, restaurateur, and hotelier who took the helm in 1993—has brought new vitality to the estate. The estate’s 90 hectares—27 of which are organically farmed—produce Muscat-de-Rivesaltes, Rivesaltes, and dry wines, both AOC and IGP. It offers a wide range of wines that are well known to readers of the Guide.
