"Grand Vin (RVF)"
“The black Grenache grapes from La Muntada have once again produced a powdery, ethereal wine with a diaphanous texture and round, fine tannins. Notes of rockrose, crushed raspberry, white pepper, and a caressing mouthfeel round out the profile. A great wine.”(Le Guide RVF 2024).

Wine rated (2024 guide) 96/100 Favorite
Rated estate (2024 guide): 3*Stars (These represent the pinnacle of French winemaking. The finest terroirs cultivated by the greatest winemakers. Tasting their wine is always a magical experience)
About the wine:
Once again, the black Grenache grapes from La Muntada have produced a powdery, ethereal wine with a diaphanous texture and round, fine tannins. Notes of rockrose, crushed raspberry, white pepper, and a caressing mouthfeel round out the profile. A great wine.
About the estate:
Since his early days in the mid-1980s, Gérard Gauby has been an inspiring, demanding, and passionate winemaker. His vines are cultivated with love and respect for the plants and the ecosystem. He has revealed to the world the complexity and potential of the Calce terroir, with its limestone and iron-rich schist soils. The winemaker has also successfully evolved his style toward wines that are less heavily aged, purer, and more airy. Alongside his son, he continues this quest, and his wines are gaining in expression and richness. The whites are exceptionally well-structured, with superb aging potential and carefully controlled aging. The reds are pure and deep. The 2021 vintage reaches new heights in both white and red wines.
