wine to share with friends

"A Glimpse of Their Talents!"

This 100% Grenache is named “Sinopia,” a name borrowed from the reddish-orange pigment found in some of the estate’s soils. Delicious aromas of raspberry, cherry, and red currant coat the palate. It’s a wine to share with friends, paired with red meat or pizza!

Wine rated (2025 guide) 16,5/20

About the wine:

I love this juicy, playful wine, bursting with red cherry aromas. It’s like a mini Negroni, without the bitterness or the alcohol. The tannins play hide-and-seek, sometimes twirling through the fruit, sometimes creeping beneath a pool of wild blackberries. Notes of cinnamon linger on the finish. As the Australians would say, “crushable” (easy to drink). (TC)

Wine rated (2025 guide) 92/100

About the wine:

Very light notes of black cherry with a soft, powdery hint of chalk, along with subtle notes of black tea, bay leaf, and mild menthol. Light and very fresh on the palate, with a soft finish but very pleasant overall.

Obviously, this wine is still a little too young, but tasting it the next day gives an idea of how this bottle will develop—it will improve with age.

Review by Mr. GILLES D. Published on April 21, 2025

An interesting discovery, to be sure, but not really the kind of wine I’m particularly fond of. This unadorned, natural cuvée offers a smooth, wonderfully fresh structure with fine, light tannins, infused with vibrant, tangy red fruit notes reminiscent of blood orange and small red berries. The finish is brief. It’s charmingly presented. Highly drinkable, some will see it as the quintessential summer red—ideal for soccer nights with friends over chorizo or anchovy pizzas, if you’re looking to keep it local. Rating: 3.4.
