"It beautifully combines finesse and freshness, not to mention its lingering finish (Hachette)"
"This amber wine, crafted from a blend of wines at least ten years old and aged in barrels, large oak casks, and concrete tanks, offers a harmonious bouquet of candied fruit, dried fruit, toasted bread, and honey. About the wine:
This amber-colored wine, crafted from a blend of wines at least ten years old and aged in barrels, large oak casks, and concrete tanks, offers a harmonious bouquet of candied fruit, dried fruit, toasted bread, and honey. On the palate, it beautifully combines finesse and freshness, not to mention a long finish.
About the estate:
Formed through the merger of three wineries, this cooperative is named after the inventor of natural sweet wines, Arnaud de Villeneuve. It brings together 320 winegrowers from Salses, Rivesaltes, and Pézilla-la-Rivière, who cultivate some 2,000 hectares of vineyards (including 125 hectares of organic vineyards) spread across 26 municipalities and diverse terroirs.

About the wine:
Its color alone is a celebration: pale gold with orange highlights, reflecting its status as a sweet wine of a certain age. Made from Macabeu, Grenache Blanc, and Grenache Gris, the aroma of this Rivesaltes Ambré Grande Réserve 10 Years Old NV lives up to expectations: ripe, dried fruits, with notes of toasted almonds, dried apricots, figs, dates, raisins, and the fragrant hints of a small flower garden. Light on the palate and very harmonious thanks to the balance between freshness and sweetness, it is surprisingly easy to drink and remains light on the finish. In a way, it is very enlightening and perfect for discovering this remarkable category of sweet wines that can literally age for decades. Best enjoyed between 2025 and 2035.

They're really nice for a late afternoon treat with a pear and almond tart. I think they're better with dried fruit than with pears.
