Note: RVF 14/20
This Chignin Bergeron is made using a gentle, extended pressing process. The Roussanne expresses itself through notes of white flowers, accompanied by subtle citrus undertones. A beautiful wine, rich and deep on the palate. A truly lovely bottle!

Bettane & Desseauve
Rated estate (2023 guide) 3*Stars (High-quality production, setting the standard in its sector)
About the estate:
The Magnins are among the most iconic figures in the Savoyard wine region. These two dedicated winemakers, who have been certified organic since 2012, decided to downsize the estate to three hectares starting with the 2018 harvest. While their lineup is small, both their white and red wines are absolutely stunning.
RVF - La Revue du Vin de France / Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France
Wine rated (2014 guide) 14/20 (Good wine)
Rated estate (2023 guide) 1*Star (Up-and-coming stars or quality winemakers producing wines of a high standard—you won’t be disappointed when tasting the wines from these estates)
About the wine:
In Chignien-Bergeron, the 2009 vintage is rich in maturity and alcohol; the fruit has a lactic quality and is slightly candied, though the wine is appealing for its fullness.
About the estate:
This artisanal estate has played a pivotal role in the contemporary history of the Savoyard vineyards. Although the vineyard area has shrunk, meticulous work—both in the vineyard and in the cellar—enables Louis Magnin to achieve exceptional expression in both reds and whites. A perfectionist, he demonstrates a consistency across his various vintages that few producers in this region can match. Less opulent than in the past, the whites emphasize mineral intensity. Among the Mondeuses—flamboyant yet meant for aging—we continue to prefer (often, though not this year!) the vintages aged in tanks over those aged in barrels.
