Château de Mérande

Located in the Combe de Savoie, in Arbin, Château de Mérande is the result of work spanning several generations: the Genoux family was already growing grapes in the 13th century in Les Abymes and settled in Arbin in the 20th century.

The 2000s marked a major turning point for the estate. 

In 2000, the vineyard expanded with the restoration of old local hillside vineyards. In 2001, the renovated cellars were established at Château de Mérande —one of the landmarks of local history.

Since 2009, the Genoux brothers have been managing the Château de Mérande vineyard according to biodynamic principles, in addition to certified organic viticulture.

The 12 hectares that make up this Arbin estate are primarily planted with Mondeuse.
