" The 2015 Cahors Paragon is an incredible Cahors, and certainly one of the best wines I've tasted from this appellation. It offers a deep, concentrated and refined style, as well as superb notes of black and blue fruits, scorched earth and spring flowers, with good tannins, a lingering impression and an excellent finish." Bettane & Desseauve
3*Star rating (High-quality production, a benchmark in its sector)
About the domain :
Alain-Dominique Perrin has worked hard to make the magnificent Lagrézette estate one of the beacons of the Cahors revival. The progress made since the cellar renovation is clear to see: the wines have gained in elegance, and the fruit is better highlighted by the ageing process. We particularly appreciate the Château and Clos Marguerite cuvees, remarkable this year.

About the domain :
A star estate in the Cadurcian vineyards, acquired in 1985 by businessman Alain-Dominique Perrin. It's renowned for the distinctive architecture of its 16th-century manor house, with its pepper-pot towers, sloping roofs and dovecote; for its vineyard heritage (82 ha), cultivated since the 16th century; and, above all, for its ambitious wines, regularly featured in these pages.

About the wine:
This wine comes from a gravelly plot in Alain Dominique Perrin's Clos Marguerite vineyard. It has excellent location, power, dense texture, powerful tannins and nuances of jammy black fruit. Rich and ripe, it will age for many years. Drink from 2023.

About the wine:
Very smooth aromas and flavors of ripe black plum and chocolate. Generous tannins gently support the fleshy fruit. For drinking or cellaring.
