Rated estate (2021 guide) 1*Star (Up-and-coming stars or quality winemakers producing good wines; you won't be disappointed when tasting the wines from these estates)

About wine:

In 2018, Cabernet Franc and Merlot grapes were used to produce Les Apprentis, a pure fruit wine with juicy blackcurrant ink aromas and well-rounded tannins, offering a generous palate punctuated by fresh pepper and blood orange notes on the finish. A beautiful wine.

About the estate:

Jean-Mary and Catherine Le Bihan took over the family farm and decided to focus on the hillsides of Duras. It was a wise decision, as they have elevated the estate to one of the best in the Southwest. In this appellation, which is struggling to emerge, this estate uses common grape varieties to produce original wines that are pleasant to drink young or suitable for aging, such as the superb Perrette and Les Noisetiers 2014, tasted in magnum. Clémence, one of their daughters, has joined them.

Correct, but a bit pricey for average quality! Still, it's a very rustic wine.
