Wine rated (2023 guide) 88/100

Rated estate (2021 guide) 1*Star (Up-and-coming stars or quality winemakers producing good wines; you won't be disappointed when tasting the wines from these estates)

About the estate:

Jean-Mary and Catherine Le Bihan took over the family farm and decided to focus on the hillsides of Duras. It was a wise decision, as they have elevated the estate to one of the best in the Southwest. In this appellation, which is struggling to emerge, this estate uses common grape varieties to produce original wines that are pleasant to drink young or suitable for aging, such as the superb Perrette and Les Noisetiers 2014, tasted in magnum. Clémence, one of their daughters, has joined them.

A wine worthy of its main grape variety, offering a purple ruby color, a nose of blackcurrant and cherry with a marked freshness. The finish is accompanied by fine, mellow tannins for a supple and smooth palate.

Never disappointed by this bottle, which offers good value for money and is almost as drinkable as a Beaujolais (without the fruitiness, though!).
