"The Elegance of Sauvignon Gris"
“Thirty years of excellence for this estate, and the new generation lives up to the high regard in which it is held, with this white from the estate’s flagship cuvée, which has earned a spot on the list for a ‘ Favorite.’ Made entirely from Sauvignon (80% Sauvignon Gris), it ages for 8 months on its lees in barrels. A golden wine, complex and delicate on the nose, appealing for its well-integrated oak. Intense, fresh, harmonious, and persistent, it finishes with a pleasant hint of bitterness. Elegance and potential.” (Le Guide Hachette 2024).

About the estate:
A very old family estate (1749) located on the hills above Montravel, this vast property is now one of the leading names in the Bergerac region, thanks to the work carried out since 1990 (when the estate left the cooperative) by Jean-François Deffarge, a “self-taught oenologist,” who is now handing the reins over to his sons Benjamin and Quentin. The vineyard (50 ha) spans two distinct terroirs: clay-limestone slopes and a high plateau of boulbène soil. Currently in the process of converting to organic farming.
